About Joe Bob

Joe Bob moved to the Durango area in 1979 smitten with all the outdoor activities that SW Colorado has to offer, especially the fishing, skiing and golf. He became a real estate broker in 1983 and joined the Wells Group Real Estate Brokerage the day they opened their doors in 1985. He has been helping buyers and sellers ever since.

In 1993 he joined John Wells in a venture to capture more clients and provide a specialized service for those interested in water enhanced properties. They formed Western Angling Properties, which has enjoyed great success over the past few years and has sold more riverfront properties than any other entity in Southwest Colorado.

Not only has Joe Bob created many lasting relationships with clients, he also has been blessed with many fantastic fly fishing opportunities. One of which includes a very special stretch of the Animas River just South of Durango where he and his wife Dana make their home. Together, they enjoy fishing and skiing with their two grown children.

In 2000, Joe Bob hired an assistant to help with the details. Abbi Munn very quickly organized and grew the business so much that she is now a full time partner. They both work with all types of buyers and sellers and continue to enjoy outdoor activities.
